  131.          AstroFormCalc 3 is a unique and innovative mathematics tool

  240.      The following are minimal instructions for manually installing
  241.                            ASTRO 3 programs.
  242.  
  243. ■ Minimum distribution files:  README.1ST, ACAL3.ICO, ACAL3.EXE,
  244.   ASOL3.ICO, ASOL3.EXE, AFIT3.ICO, AFIT3.EXE, CHM312.HLP and *.EQU
  245.   files. These files may be distributed in compressed formats such as
  246.   CHM312.ZIP.
  247.  
  248. ■ Create a DOS directory named ASTRO3 and change to it:
  249.  
  250.   cd\ (enter)    md\astro3 (enter)  cd \astro3 (enter)
  251.  
  252. ■ Copy distribution file(s) into this directory.
  253.  
  254. ■ If necessary, decompress CHM312.ZIP as follows:
  255.  
  256.   pkunzip CHM312 (enter)
  257.  
  258. ■ Add these statements to AUTOEXEC.BAT in the base directory:

  260.   ∙ SET ASTRO3=C:\ASTRO3
  261.   ∙ append to existing PATH statement  ;C:\ASTRO3;
  262.   · reboot the computer (ctrl alt del).

  264. ■ Running Under Windows as a Non-Windows Application
  265.  
  266.  Follow the installation instructions and install on the hard drive C.
  267.  Start WINDOWS (tm, MicroSoft).  Click on FILE then click on PROPERTIES.
  268.  Enter the following information for each of the fields.  Description:
  269.  AstroFormCalc 3, Command:  ACAL3.EXE, Working Directory:  \ASTRO3.
  270.  Click on CHANGE ICON.  Enter Filename:  C:\astro3\acal3.ico.  Click on
  271.  OK to exit and click on OK to exit FILE.  The AstroFormCalc 3 icon
  272.  should appear in the accessory window.  Click on it to run ACAL3.  At
  273.  "Get file" prompt type YES (enter) and at filename prompt type (end
  274.  esc) CHM312.HLP (enter).
